Laiki -- Farmers' Market

Every Thursday morning throughout the year, local growers gather at the laiki (farmers’ market) in Neapolis. Farmers sell fresh fruits and vegetables produced in the area. Neapolis is famous for its sweet red onions (cremidia).

In season, one can purchase fresh figs, and when the season draws to a close, dried figs -- for a limited time only. Eggplant, zucchini, potatoes, vine-ripened tomatoes, peppers, leeks, lemons, oranges and persimmons are all available straight from the farm.
